WebSep 6, 2024 · The drivetrain seemingly is the same as the Forester Wilderness. It's also rated at 3500 lbs. We owned one. Excellent vehicle. I have also towed 4000+ lb with a ~4000 lb unibody vehicle. I would not recommend it, mostly because braking distance should be measured in miles. But the drivetrain and chassis did not seem to mind.
