If you drop them down and the problem doesn't change then I'd look at changing the bridge angle or removing the saddle springs.

Web14 de out. de 2005 · i had the same problem w/a hamer studio custom, except the problem was w/the Low E, A, and D Strings. I reversed the saddles so i could get the saddles to move back a bit farther. These strings would intonate a bit sharp at the 12 fret. This didn't help. I took a fine file and filed the nut slots just a bit. WebCheck your nut slot at the high E position. If it is dirty, clean it with string or whatever other improvised tool you can use. If the slot is too small for the string gauge that you're using, you could restring it using a smaller gauge. Or you could file it a bit wider yourself if you have any gauged files around .010-.013.
